Chapter 19 - Chapter 20 Her arrival

At the busy exit B of Velmora International Airport, People from different walks of life hurriedly walked around, their eyes darting from one direction to another. Amidst the crowd, a young woman emerged from the sliding glass doors, stepping out into the warm new area.

Her arrival was noticed when heads turned and gazes fixed on her. She was beautiful and attracted the attention of many.

She didn't do anything out of the ordinary to attract admiration, but only her smooth, sun-kissed complexion seemed to glow under the sunlight.

She possessed a confidence that was evident in the way she carried herself. With each step, she moved with elegance, her gaze fixed ahead.

As she made her way through the airport, the girl pulled her luggage effortlessly, displaying a strength and independence that resonated with her character. The suitcase, with travel stickers from various destinations, seemed to tell that she had various stops before she got there. From inside, she was broken and felt a little tired, but no one could tell by just looking at her.

The atmosphere around her was different; she was used to people who couldn't help but steal glances at this captivating figure. Some exchanged whispers, attempting to start a conversation with her. Others simply admired her from a distance.

Despite all those stares, the girl remained focused on her path ahead.

To her, the new place looked nice, she hadn't been there, but she liked the new air, which was giving her a feeling of being completely out of the ordinary world where she wasn't seeing or meeting anyone she knew.

Looking around, she felt that she was ready to forget the past and start afresh. But was she ready to love again? What kind of fresh start was she referring to? She didn't know, but she was sure of one thing: everything would change, completely.

With each passing moment, the girl's anticipation of the new place grew. She felt heaviness in her chest, both excitement and nervousness, as she prepared to start a new life.

The new world awaited outside waited for her, and it had to mean her broken pieces.

Natasha turned her eyes and looked back. Maybe she will be at that airport some other time, maybe sooner or later.

Natasha stepped out of the airport, and she couldn't help but feel a little lost in the busy and unfamiliar city. It was then that a smartly dressed man caught her eye. She could tell he was a taxi driver by the way he carried himself, but his appearance was deceiving because that wasn't the way a taxi driver would dress during working hours.

"Hello there, miss," the taxi driver greeted her with a warm smile. "Are you in need of a ride?"

Natasha returned the smile and nodded. "Yes, please. I need to go to John Cravers' hotel."

The taxi driver kindly offered, "Allow me to assist you with your luggage, miss."

"Oh, thank you so much," Natasha replied gratefully. She handed over her bags, relieved to have some help.

As they walked towards the car, the driver held the door open for her. "After you, miss."

"Wow, thank you," Natasha said, genuinely surprised by his politeness. "Not many people are so thoughtful."

It seemed that the place was so welcoming to her, and maybe she was going to enjoy her stay in the country. She was happy that the first person she met on her journey to start life fresh was so friendly.

The taxi driver chuckled and replied, "I believe in treating my passengers with respect and kindness. It's always nice to see them happy."

Once inside the car, Natasha settled herself comfortably. The driver started the engine and asked, "Are you new to this place, miss?"

"Yes, I am," she answered, looking out the window at the passing scenery. "I've never been here before."

"Well, you are in for a treat," the driver said. "There are some wonderful places you should visit when you get the chance. There's a beautiful park not too far from here, and a famous museum downtown."

Natasha smiled appreciatively. "I'll make sure to check them out. Thank you for the recommendations."

The journey continued with a friendly conversation between Natasha and the driver. He shared stories about the city and its hidden gems, while Natasha listened attentively, eager to learn more about her new surroundings.

Finally, they arrived at the hotel. The driver pulled up to the entrance and turned off the engine. "Here we are, miss. This is your stop."

Natasha gathered her belongings and prepared to step out of the car. "Thank you so much for the ride and the wonderful conversation. I really appreciate it."

What she didn't know was that there were cameras installed in that car, and someone was watching her.

The driver smiled warmly. "You're most welcome, miss. If you need to go anywhere else during your stay, don't hesitate to give me a call. I'll be happy to take you around." He said as he handed a piece of paper with his number written on it.

Natasha thanked him once again and bid him farewell. As she entered the hotel, she couldn't help but feel grateful for the chance encounter with such a friendly and helpful taxi driver.
